Caroline at 8 Months

Caroline at 8 Months

Today, this Little Girl went and turned eight months old on me. And on a Tuesday, nonetheless! She was born on a Tuesday. She celebrated by sitting on the counter playing Hair Shoppe with a pineapple, making baby squeaks. You know, as you do.

Here is a snapshot of Caroline at 8 months:

  • Loves apples and prunes, green beans, and using her water cup like a big girl
  • Notices everything–bubbles in the bathtub, my work badge, blades of grass
  • Loves opening and closing the cabinet doors in the kitchen, especially the squeaky door
  • Loves eating wooden spoons and banging pots and pans
  • Notices Finnegan and laughs at him, especially when she grabs his tail

Clothes:

She wears everything from size 6-12 months clothes. She finally fits into this beautiful coat from Beverly, Mike’s parents’ neighbor:

And yes, here she is sticking out her tongue at Mike. Sassy pants.

Loves:

She loves, loves, loves to swing. She laughs and squeals and just eats it up. Mike can barely take it–he gets so nervous watching her. Last weekend, on an especially cold Saturday, we bundled her up and took her to a new playground to test out their swing. I was so proud of Mike! He let her swing for about six minutes…five minutes and thirty seconds more than last time:

Then we headed home to our own beloved swing. See those black splotches? That is from the Great Fire of 2017:

She also loves her “stuffie” elephant, Ellie Friend. Our next-door neighbor, who’s five, calls stuffed animals “stuffies” and it just kindof stuck.

She loves to shove his trunk into her baby mouth. Her eyes light up when she spots him across the room. I think they have some serious conversations when we aren’t looking. Here they are discussing the recent VA election:

She loves the texture of Ellie Friend and the texture of the glider. She scratches her fingernails on the fabric and likes the sound it makes.

Her friend Baloo is also still a favorite, and Finnegan also ranks pretty high–she loves to chase him around and give belly laughs when she grabs a handful of fur. We’ve also added playing with pots, pans, and wooden spoons to the list.

Her hair is getting thicker, her eyelashes are lengthening out, and she is making more and more squeaks when she gets excited. It’s just the cutest thing.

She has perfected the army crawl. If you place a toy across a blanket, she will hightail it across a blanket to get to it–with laser-like focus. This one is going places, I tel you that!

Happy 8 months Little Lady!

  1. One more important area is that if you are a senior, travel insurance regarding pensioners is something you must really think about. The more mature you are, greater at risk you will be for allowing something negative happen to you while in most foreign countries. If you are not really covered by several comprehensive insurance plan, you could have quite a few serious troubles. Thanks for discussing your ideas on this blog site.
