Memorial Day Weekend 2019

Memorial Day Weekend 2019

Memorial Day Weekend was wonderful and so much more than a weekend…we had almost a full week to celebrate the kick off of summer, enjoy time with my parents and the Betancourts, and ring in my Dad and Uncle Ed’s 70th birthdays. And celebrate we did! All week, Caroline talked about how Kay Kay and Pa were coming. Each morning she would wake up and ask, “Kay Kay Pa here?” Who could blame her? We were all excited. Here are…

Vivienne at 6 Months

Right before Memorial Day, this little lady turned SIX months old on us. A half year?!? It’s crazy to think she’s been with us that long, because it feels kind of like she has always been here. We are enjoying much warmer temps and spend a LOT of time outside. This little lady is now officially potty trained! She is also a  scooter-ologist, a…

Potty Training Boot Camp: We Survived!

Potty Training Boot Camp: We Survived!

Our house for the last few days has been turned into a War Zone. Fresh underwear (and reading material) stacked in the bathrooms. Clorox wipes on the backs of the toilet. Rugs rolled up and out of the way. Couches covered in towels. Everyone’s nerves on edge just a bit, waiting for the inevitable. It all began on Thursday night, when Caroline ripped off her diaper at bath time and announced, “NO MORE DIAPERS. ONLY UNDIES!” Well okay then. I…
