Valentine’s Day 2020
This Valentine’s Day was truly wonderful. I was so touched by the sweet and thoughtful plans that Suelen and Mike pulled off–I felt very loved! And surprised and honored. Valentine’s Day was on a Friday so it was a “normal” work day…at least until Suelen and Mike showed up at my office mid-afternoon…with my babies! Who were wearing matching outfits that Suelen selected just for them! Be still my heart. Suelen also wrote out sweet notes for my coworkers and brought sweet treats and balloons and it was so special.
How it all went down was my boss Jaymie told me that I needed to sign someone in for an interview in the downstairs lobby so I headed down and there they all were! Mike, Suelen, Caroline, and Vivi–with flowers, balloons, and treats. Looking adorable.
I brought them all upstairs to greet my coworkers and they got to pass out the goodies they made, and they got to draw on the dry erase wall. They loved it!
Here are all of my special guests with my sweet new coworker. Such a great surprise!
Later that night, Suelen watched the girls while Mike and I went to a wonderful dinner at Rustico and then we walked around Target, selecting outfits for the new baby (boy and girl). The next afternoon, Mike and I enjoyed a fantastic couples massage, which was just what we needed. That was followed by a surprise dinner I planned for Mike with Brian and Dana at Mele Bistro. I thought we had planned our timing well, and asked Suelen to watch the girls while we were out, but she had other plans (which were well after we were supposed to be home), but our service took FOREVER so I had to call in reinforcements…Meg to the rescue! She raced over to my house and watched the monitor until Mike and I finally made it home.
What a wonderful weekend celebrating love all around…for each other, for our wonderful au pair, our sweet little ladies, and our friends. Happy love day 🙂
