Where is this summer going and how do I almost have a 2.5 year old?? Caroline is hitting a sweet spot in behaving (most of the time), chattering up a storm (and adding in funny mannerisms), and playing in the water like a little fish. She is eating the beautiful and creative meals that Suelen creates for her DAILY. She does not like napping or going to bed at night or going home…she loves to sing Happy Birthday, ‘Oh Fiona!,’ and “Way Up In the Sky.” She has opinions about what she eats, plays, and wears.

Here’s a snapshot of Caroline at 29 months:

• She loves to scare me. She will hide then yell “boo!” and jump out at me–with the most excited face.
• She often asks if we can go “out to dinner.” Sometimes on the way home from going out to dinner.
• She loves ice cream more than anything. Popsicles, too, and most recently–milkshakes ice cream sandwiches 🙂
• She loves to dance and twirl and will tell you if she wants to dance alone or with you.
• She loves to help with Vivi. When Vivi cries, she says, “don’t cry baby…big sister is here!” and in the car she will say “we’re almost home baby–don’t cry!” She crushed me on Monday morning when Vivi cried and she said, “mommy has to go to work baby, but don’t cry–I’m here!”
• She has been having a hard time falling asleep so sometimes I lay down on her rug. Funny enough, I never have a hard time falling asleep.
• She has begun saying things that show she’s growing up–like if I accidentally step on her foot, she says “no problem!” or “it’s ok!”
• She loves to spray product in her hair, wear my necklaces, and drink out of a cup with no lid, promising to “use two hands like mommy.”
• She will tell you her best friend is Ellie and when she grows up, she wants to be a buggy.
• I took her to Freddie’s for a Mommy/Caroline Milk and Wine Date–we had a ball!
• Tonight we saw an airplane and she asked where it was going…she said “maybe to see Ellie and Kay Kay and Pa.” So sweet.
• She loves to ride her rocking elephant or her pony and wants Vivi to ride with her–which Vivi loves doing–she laughs deep belly laughs.
• Vivi is the first person she asks for in the morning and the last person she hugs at night before bed.
