So our Vivi Girl turned two months old on January 22 and we celebrated by getting a bunch of shots at her 2 month checkup. The good news is that now she can fly on airplanes without fear of her getting sick, but it is still hard to see her suffer from the shots. She had a great checkup and is a healthy little girl. The pediatrician remarked that her head and neck were incredibly strong and that she had great control of them. Mike guessed she’s weigh 11 pounds and I predicted 12, so when the official stats rolled in, I was the winner…

Vivienne’s 2 month stats: 11 pounds, 14 ounces (65th percentile); 23.25 inches long (83rd percentile). By comparison, Caroline at this age was 11 pounds 2 ounces and 23 inches long.

She is spending more time awake, loves her big sister, and even started giving us smiles (around Week 7)!

Here’s a snapshot of Vivi Kate at 2 months:

• She still sleeps a LOT during the day.
• She cries now when she is bored and loves her Skip Hop playmat with the dangling toys.
• She eats every 3-4 hours during the day and 4-5 hours at night.
• She takes a 3 oz bottle no problem.
• We got our first smiles at 7 weeks and saw a tiny dimple under her lips.
• She is a super sleeper during Mommy and Me yoga…and we try to go every weekday!
• She is the highlight of Caroline’s Toddler II class…whenever we bring her in, all the kiddies swarm her, pointing and saying, “baby…baby!”
• She loves sleeping on her tummy.
• She was showered with love at her Sip and See at Ed and Susan’s house!
• She got to meet Ang & John, plus Julia and Hazel, who doted on her.
• Mommy and Daddy prepared her beautiful nursery but she is still sleeping in the pack n’ play in their room for now!
• She enjoys her bath time and is exhausted afterwards.
• She is adored by her big sister!
