People with little ones know all about Sophie. Sophie is a very expensive, sophisticated French giraffe. She is often gifted to new parents. At every baby shower I have ever attended, a hot topic of conversation is how no one can believe that this item costs almost $30 American.

Sophie basically looks, feels, and sounds exactly like a puppy chew toy, but she is, admittedly for some parents, the best $30 you could ever spend.

The reason is simple. Babies LOVE Sophie. They love to chew on her. They love how she smells. They love how she squeaks. Babies who are fussy and cranky become angelic when their chubby baby hands grasp Sophie. I am sure flights have been diverted, cars turned around, and plans cancelled because Sophie was missing.

But when Kay Kay came to town, we spent a wonderful day down at the DC Wharf and we met a new Sofie. But instead of squeaks, this Sofie makes bubbles.

Kay Kay was all about new Sofie. As one would expect. We are a mimosa-enjoying family through and through. I mean, just look at that face. #herecomestrouble

The next morning, before we enjoyed new Sofie, we decided the two needed a picture together.

It’s unanimous–new Sofie is delicious!
