Caroline has a new favorite toy. Move over remote control. Step aside, nursery nightlight, giant Pooh Bear, and Cornelius the monkey from the zoo gift shop. Introducing…the Amazon dot! This hockey puck look-alike has totally captured my little girl’s heart. It is the first thing she looks for when she enters her nursery. She loves to hold it in her hands, carry it around, turn it on and off, and watch it light up. She loves that it plays music that she “dances” to…in that special toddler way of dancing that is actually just quick knee bends.

The only thing Caroline currently loves more than her Amazon dot is her Cath Kidston backpack that Kelly sent her for her first birthday. She wants to wear it EVERYWHERE and loves it. One day, I loaded Caroline into the car, bound for the grocery store to shop for Eliza’s Sip and See. She had insisted on wearing the backpack and I gave in. When we got to the store, I plopped her into the cart and focused on the items I needed to buy. I was perusing the produce section when something caught my eye in the parsley–it was white and round and looked familiar.

Did she??

No…she couldn’t have.

No one was anywhere around us. It had to be her. That little sneaky girl!

Caroline snuck that Amazon dot into her backpack, upzipped the backpack when I wasn’t looking, and threw it in the parsley at the grocery store.

Just look how proud she was of herself!
