Caroline at 15 Months
So Caroline turned 15 months in mid-June and I continue to be impressed with the changes I am seeing on a daily basis, especially compared to months 8-12 where now I look back and think she didn’t change all that much (except for crawling faster). This month, her walking has gotten much less wobbly, she has started DANCING (which is an adorable, deep knee-bending action), and she says ‘uh-oh!’
Here is a snapshot of Caroline at 15 months:
- Running! We went quickly from wobbly walking at 13 months to full on running (and chasing balls and Finnegan) by 15 months. She loves the giant orange ball I scooped up at Target for $3 and loves when i roll it up Lori’s driveway, watching it hit the garage door, and roll down again. She laughs and laughs when she sees this.
- The lovely Littin family gifted us with this adorable pink and purple push car and Caroline is truly smitten. We go for a ride every night after school and she LOVES it. We make a pit stop by Diane and Larry’s cement lions, where she gives each one a respectful two pats on the head before we go back to our route. She points and grunts if I fail to remember this little side trip.
- Caroline’s daycare sent up the most hilarious footage of her “dancing” during one of Miss Katie’s Tuesday guitar sing-a-longs. It is hilarious and I have watched it no fewer than 100 times. The little song focuses on giving each child the chance to do their own moves during the song and Caroline took full advantage of showing her deep knee bends, coupled with her elbows tucked in tight for a little ducky look, during the Hello song:
- “Hell-o Caroline, how do you do?
- I’m so glad I’m he-re with you!
- Who is next, please tell us your name…
- Do something silly, and we’ll do the same!
- She loves her Twinkle Twinkle book (from Carole and Tony), Global Babies (from Ed & Susan), and the Rainbow Fish (from Elise), which she tore a page out of and immediately said “uh oh!”
- Things she loves: her pink and purple push car, orange giant ball, remote controls, the Amazon dot, her fake kitchen cell phone.
- She is still wearing size 12-18 months, still sleeps like a rock at night (7 am to 7 pm) and has a 2 hour nap during the day, and eats anything and everything we put in front of her.
Happy 15 months, Sugar Bear!
