Spa’arty in Scottsdale
What do you do when you very best college friends plan a spa trip to Scottsdale, Arizona during winter? You BOOK A TICKET and enjoy five fun-filled days with girls who know the value of laughing, drinking, and playing.
So off I went. And a great time was had by all. We called it our Spa’arty.
As soon as we landed, the cold winter was a distant memory and we were greeted by Arizona’s best blue skies. You know how you don’t even realized how sick of winter you are until you’re in a sunny climate? That’s what happened.
We kicked off the fun with a delicious lunch outside. With drinks, of course.
The next morning, we had a wonderful time taking an Orange Theory class together. Start the day off right!
The rigorous workout was quickly rewarded with frozen rose (fro-zay!) which we enjoyed poolside.
We spent one full day relaxing at the Fairmont Spaahh, which was wonderful. We all got massages or facials. So relaxing! We also took a ariel yoga class, which was a bit dizzying…
So we had no choice but to head to the pool and enjoy some delicious beverages to recover.
We enjoyed a little bit of hiking, some good conversations, and a lot of cactus admiring.
After the hike, I cleared out our condo of the culinary masterpieces we had accumulated over the weekend.
Then I had some time to kill, so I headed out to the Museum of Musical Instruments, which was fascinating!
I flew home on the red eye. Nothing could beat the reception I received from Caroline, who was more than pleased with the Arizona souvenir I brought her from the musical instrument museum–an authentic tambourine!
